Mary Fred’s Heavenly Pound Cake Recipe Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
3 cups sugar
3 cups flour, sifted
1/2 tsp baking powder, sifted
1 pinch of salt
1/2 cups vegetable shortening
5 eggs, room temperature
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp Happy Home® Imitation Butter Flavor
1 tsp Happy Home® Imitation Coconut Flavor
1 tsp Happy Home® Imitation Rum Flavor
1 tsp Happy Home® Imitation Vanilla Flavor
1 tsp Happy Home® Natural Lemon Flavor

Directions:
Preheat oven to 325°. Sift together flour and baking powder once.

Cream butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy.  Add eggs, one at a time. Continue to beat mixture, alternate the sifted flour, baking powder, and salt dry mixture with buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.  Add the flavorings and mix until incorporated.

Pour into a well-greased and floured tube or Bundt® pan and bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes.  Let cool for 10 minutes before releasing cake from the pan.
