Cherry Pie

Cherry Pie Recipe


4 cups fresh or frozen tart cherries
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
4 Tbsp cornstarch
1/4 tsp Happy Home Pure Almond Extract
1 tsp Happy Home Natural Cherry Flavor
Your favorite pie crust or Perfect Pie Crust (you will need 2).
1 1/2 Tbsp butter, to dot
1 Tbsp granulated sugar, to sprinkle


  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Place cherries in saucepan over heat and cover. After a few minutes, when cherries become very juicy, remove from heat. In a bowl mix the sugar and cornstarch together and pour into the hot cherries, mixing well. Add the Happy Home Pure Almond Extract and the Happy Home Natural Cherry Flavor, then mix. Return to stove on low heat until it has thickened. Remove from stove and allow to cool.
  3. Using your pie crust, place one in a pie pan and pour in the cooled cherries. Dot with butter and lightly moisten the edges of the crust. Cut the other pie crust into strips and place in pattern on top of pie and pinch the edges together. Lightly sprinkle with sugar.
